AI Village
The AI Village is a community of hackers and data scientists working to educate the world on the use and abuse of artificial intelligence in security and privacy.
We will showcase popular and complex models such as GPT3, Stable Diffusion (AI generated art), and an open source version of the Ember malware detection model to discuss interesting trends and potential vulnerabilities. We will also bring a set of AIVCTF challenges for those interested in learning about and practicing adversarial machine learning techniques.
Career Village
The Career Village launched last year with resume reviews and mentoring sessions. This year we are adding talks and workshops on various career topics in Cybersecurity, IT Security, and InfoSec.

CactusCon Greenhouse
Have you ever wanted to be a pentester but didn't know where to start? Do you have an interest in pentesting but need some help getting the fundamentals down? If so then the CactusCon Greenhouse is for you!
The Greenhouse is a series of four tables, each one with an exercise in a pentesting fundamental; enumeration using nmap, web applications using BurpSuite, exploitation with Metasploit, and password cracking with john the ripper and hashcat. Each table is designed to take about 30 minutes to complete, and will have a web page to guide you through the exercises. Greenhouse Gardeners will be available to help if you get stuck. You will need to bring your own laptop to participate. DC480
The Defcon conference has come to be a defining moment for many of us every year, and sometimes we need an extra dose of that to keep us going. The DC480 crew aims to give the valley a dose of that year round, providing a high trust group of hackers, security practitioners, threat intel charlatans, and meme thought leaders who come together on a monthly basis and share talks, as well as an engaging social community online that's available 24/7.
Part of that includes the Snow Talks, a little taste of the Sky Talks of Defcon lore. These talks are "off the record" and follow a strict no recording policy. Snow Talks aims to be extra spooky and spicy, and not always directly hacking related. But, you are guaranteed to hear something cool and a crazy story or two.
Radio Village
"Calling all cars!"
What comes to mind when you think of radio? We'd like to invite you to see and chat about fun things being done with radio communications, beyond just WiFi and Bluetooth. There will certainly be talk of ham radio and information on how to get FCC licensed for amateur radio bands, but use of RF doesn't stop there. This village will be a great way to connect with other like-minded individuals, so if you have any radio projects of your own, please bring them out and show them off!
